Saturday morning I had the pleasure of photographing my sister in law, her new little family and her baby belly. Only 2 more months before the new little guy arrives. And I get to go back for a baby session. Here is a little peek at a few of the images. 

And how super cute is this little guy?!!? He was so much fun to play with. He's so happy. He's going to be a wonderful big brother.

I just love how he looks so deep in thought in this image.

Contest winner announcement

Ok so I was supposed to announce this last week. I'm all kinds of late. My bad, I let the winter blahs get the best of me. So instead of choosing just one winner, I chose five. Congrats to Kerri, Angela, Katina, Crystal, and Skip. I will be contacting all of you by email or phone (if your nuber was in your email) very soon to schedule your sessions.

So now that we have decided on a prize (family portrait session) I can tell you how to enter. It's really so simple. I told you in the last post you would not have to like, fan, follow, or share anything, and you don't.

So here is the how. All you have to do is send an email to sarah(@)sarahlynnphotographer.com that has the names and ages of everyone you want in your session (feel free to include the dog). Also tell me the last time you had a family portrait taken, where you had them done (even if it was me). And tell me what you liked most about your experience, and the thing you liked the least.

And the few simple rules. Must be local, or willing to travel to me. Must sign a model release, images will be shared online and possibly featured in a sample album.

The contest ends Monday Jan, 31 at noon. So ready, set, TYPE!!!

Almost contest time | Calvert county photographer

Around this time every year I run a contest. And they seem to be a big hit. So I thought I'd do it again. Only I wasn't sure what prize I would give away yet. One year it was a private boudoir session, another year it was a family pet session, last year it was dirty formals sessions. And I want to keep doing something different. So here's what we're gonna do. There is a poll in the side bar to the right. I'm going to let YOU choose the prize. And if you choose other and would like me to offer a different type of session just put it in a comment here on this post. The poll will be up for a week. Ornaments, they're not just for trees...

This Christmas we received a great gift. A box of ornaments made from our family pictures. I have a shutterfly share site where I can share all of my personal pictures with my family and close friends. And one of our family members went on there and printed out some pictures and made us some beautiful ornaments from them. While looking through them again this evening, Nick decided to hang them from the light in the kitchen. I really do love them, but I'm thinking tomorrow they will find their way back into the box for the tree next year.

What is up with...

boys and Star Wars? The last few years the obsession was trains specifically Thomas the tank engine. But now it's all Star wars, all the time. He found an empty wrapping paper tube and it instantly became a light saber. Is there anything wrong with this? I would say no. Except he favors the dark side. The child loves him some Vader. And thinks Yoda is stupid. Does anyone else see this as something I should be concerned with, or is it just me??

I know, I know...enough with the flowers already

Sorry I can't help it. They are such great subjects. They stay where I put them, and never complain. I'm just kidding. I just think they are pretty to look at. Enjoy. Hope it brightens your day even if just a little.

Weird grocery store flowers

I know these flowers did not grow these colors. But I like it. They are so bright and cheery. And who doesn't need a little bright and cheery on their kitchen table?
